Who it is for

Learners interested in security, agriculture, health imaging, retail and robotics.

Prerequisites

Deep Learning or equivalent.

What you will be able to do

  • Process images and video with OpenCV
  • Train classifiers and detectors (YOLO)
  • Segment images and use vision transformers
  • Apply vision-language models
  • Optimise and deploy models to edge devices

Curriculum

7 modules · 10 weeks
  1. Image fundamentals and OpenCV
  2. CNN classifiers and augmentation
  3. Object detection with YOLO
  4. Segmentation and pose estimation
  5. Vision transformers and CLIP
  6. Video and real-time pipelines
  7. Edge deployment (ONNX, Raspberry Pi, phones)

Tools you will use

Choose your class time

Every class covers the same lessons with the same tutors. Take it on campus, live online with recordings, or mix both week by week at no extra cost.

Weekend classes have fewer hours each week, so they run longer to cover the same course. Public holidays are made up on the following Friday. Next intake starts 3 November 2026. See all class times and intakes.

Questions about this course

Is the online class the same as the campus class?

Yes. Same tutor, same lessons, same project and the same certificate. Online classes are live, and every class is recorded within 24 hours.

Why does the weekend class take 15 weeks?

Weekend classes run 8 hours a week instead of 12, so they take a little longer to cover the same course. Morning and evening classes take 10 weeks.

What if I miss a class?

Watch the recording, then bring your questions to mentor office hours after class. If you need a longer break, you can move to the next intake.

Can I switch between campus and online?

Yes. Choose hybrid and switch week by week. There is no extra fee.
